THIRTEEN dogs and their owners have helped to raise around £140 for charity.

A sponsored walk was organised by Week St Mary resident Angela O'Connor on March 22 to support Blu's Tale Foundation, which helps dogs with canine epilepsy.

Angela's four-year-old Alaskan Malamute Breeze was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy when she was two. This form of epilepsy has no identified cause, but it could be inherited.

As a result, Breeze will be on medication for the rest of her life and although this helps she still has seizures every two to four weeks, sometimes three or more in 24 hours and they can last for about a minute.
