A SPONSORED walk in memory of an Altarnun man, who lost his battle with cancer ten years ago, has been completed by his four daughters.
Sisters, Sarah Mably, Katherine, Elizabeth and Joanne Yeo, lost their beloved father, Charles John Yeo, ten years ago after battling cancer and wanted to do something in his memory.
They decided to do a sponsored 30-kilometre coastal walk from Rock to Trebarwith on the ten year anniversary January 10, 2018 with the aim to raise as much money for cancer research as possible.
They set a target of £1,000 and completely smashed it by raising £2,304.
They extended their thanks to everyone who donated and supported them on the day.
They said: “Everyone was very generous. The route was very challenging with some steep inclines and uneven ground. The weather could not of been better, probably the best day in January, the sun shone all day and no rain made the challenging walk a little bit easier.”
They completed the walk in an impressive nine hours.
