SISTERS, Summer and Lily Rose Boundy, have had their long locks chopped to raise money for children who have lost their hair from cancer.
Nine-year-old Summer and five-year-old Lily Rose each had eight inches cut off in front of their classmates at Halwill Primary School last Friday.
It was their mother's idea to raise money for the Little Princess Trust, a charity that accepts hair donations to make wigs for children suffering with cancer.
Mother Becky Steward previously told the Post: "I haven't been keen on Summer having her hair cut as neither of my girls have had more than trims, but we all thought this would be a better idea than her hair ending up in a hairdresser's bin. Lily Rose wanted to donate her hair as well as both girls thought that every little girl should have the chance to have long hair like theirs."
