THE St Swithin’s Church fundraising group arranged a ShelterBox Appeal Day on Saturday in the Parkhouse Centre, Bude.
Jerome and Suzanne Lions came from ShelterBox and erected the tent and displayed the contents of the box.
Visitors enjoyed the display and the singing of the Tamarside Singers — Shannon sang and played guitar.
In the afternoon Bude Metric Brass Band led everyone in the singing of carols.
Light lunches were served and delicious cakes enjoyed. A raffle was held for a £10 turkey and the winner was Mr V Bickle.
The sum of £1,100 was sent to ShelterBox and will pay for two boxes.
St. Swithin’s fund raising group expressed thanks to everyone involved in making the day so successful.
