THE sun shone for the first Week St Mary Dog Show, held recently. There was a great turnout of some 35 dogs on the lower playing field. The whole event had a friendly atmosphere, with a burger stall manned by Steve Naish and his team. The judge Sandra Blackford did a superb job. With so many fine examples of the canine species to choose from, she still found time to show the younger exhibitors the correct way present their dogs. As the summer shimmered down on all those glossy coats and wagging tails it seemed likely that this would become an annual Week St Mary event.
