MORE than £3,000 has been raised for a Launceston-based charity to benefit communities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

This year's Royal Cornwall Show proved to be another success for the Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF), raising £3,600.

A spokesperson for the CCF said it was 'very grateful' for being the chosen charity of Tregothnan Estates: "Tregothnan is a great supporter of the CCF and is a member of the Cornwall 100 Club, the business arm of the CCF. Cornwall 100 Club member Rodda's Creamery donated all the cream for the cream teas and Warrens Bakery kindly donated the saffron cakes."

Jane Hartley, vice-chair of the CCF, said: "We are very grateful to Tregothnan for hosting us at the Royal Cornwall Show. There was a very friendly atmosphere around the Tregothnan tea chest; three sunny days of enjoying the great British tea of Tregothnan and raising money for the CCF.

"We all worked so hard in order to raise funds to invest into the communities of Cornwall. Thank you to all of our volunteers and supporters."
