BUDE Wyvern Friends Group held a bucket collection at Morrisons in aid of Children’s Hospice South West on Wednesday, September 7.

A total of £523.88 was raised, supporting the children with life-limiting illnesses and their families at Little Bridge House, Fremington, Little Harbour, Porthpean, St Austell and Charlton Farm and Wraxhall, Bristol.

Wyvern Friends member, Jenny Balsdon, said: “I would like to thank everyone who, when doing their shopping, gave so very generously to such a worthwhile charity.”

Back on July 19, there was also a service of thanksgiving in Exeter Cathedral, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the charity, Little Bridge House, by CEO Eddie Farwell and his late wife, Jill.

Jenny added: “Last, but not least, I would like to thank Morrisons for allowing us to be in their store, and to our willing band of volunteers, for without them and you, the public, this would not have been possible. So thank you to you all for continuing to support us.”
