With the support of Britannia Charitable Foundation, who provide finance to help children with financial lessons, Shebbear Community School built a shop for the pupils to use and sponsored the children's stalls at the summer fete. The children had to decide what to sell, they worked out their costs — rent, electricity, cost of goods and then had to decide what to charge for their product.

Pictured at the opening of the shop are: Stuart Borthwick (Britannia representative), Kelsey Wilkinson-Hair, Paige Hooper, Samuel Rideout, Billie Powell and Jacob Andrew.
