ALL seven churches from the recently expanded cluster of St Breward, Blisland, Temple, Helland, St Mabyn, St Tudy and Michaelstow, came together for the first time on Sunday, February 5.

Vicar in charge Rev Canon Sherry Bryan led the first joint service.

The Rev Sherry Bryan is set to retire in early June so the newly formed seven church cluster will be thrown into an ‘interregnum’, often a challenging time for churches when they are without a minister/vicar.

Also in attendance at the joint service was the Superintendant Minister for Camelford and Week St Mary Circuit, Rev Doreen Sparey Delacassa who runs the local ‘Open the Book’ sessions and was able to recruit seven new members after the service to form a new St Breward group.

Approximately 90 people made up the congregation, with over 70 taking communion — it was a packed service for a Sunday morning.
