Ross-on-Wye certainly did the County proud when it hosted the annual County Rally on Sunday, July 7th. The sun shone, highlighting the glinting medals proudly worn by veterans, and crowds applauded as members of the Royal British Legion Riders Branch led the parade.
The eyecatching motorbikes were followed by the Band, the Standard Bearers, Cadets and members of the Scouts.
The parade, which started at the Chase Hotel, marched along Gloucester Road and on to St Mary's Church, it was superb. This was followed by a church service attended by Lady Darnley, the Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire and representative of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the High Sherrif of Herefordshire, Edward Harley, and two Deputy Lieutenants Paul Deneen OBE and Joyce Thomas MBE.
