BUDE Police have reported that a serious assault occurred in the Strand area of Bude between 3.10am and 3.20am on Sunday.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident, in which a man was allegedly subject to an attack.

In particular, they would like to hear from a white man, who was wearing a camouflaged hooded jacket, who they believe may have stepped in to prevent a further assault.
