LAMERTON horse and hound team are with eventer Mary King at the South West Equine Fair at Westpoint on Saturday. Lamerton came second in the Horse and Hound Challenge, which was judged on the style of the riders and the speed of the runners with their dogs. The Lamerton team consisted of (riders) Megan Lawrence, Emma Lawson, Issy Jenkin and Lizzie Langton and (runners plus hounds) Xavia Flashman, Lucy Steven, Nicole Remmington and Jenny Fleming. Lamerton DC Helen Harris said 'All our members performed brilliantly and I'm really pleased - it is a very big thing to go out and jump in front of a crowd of thousands in a small arena. It was also wonderful to hear so much support from our supporting members, cheering in the packed crowds.'
