ORGANISERS of Leopallooza Festival have announced that country blues rock singer/guitarist Seastick Steve will be appearing at the 10th festival, which takes place near Bude from July 29 to 31.

This will be Seasick Steve’s only other UK show this year, before his appearance at Wembley Arena in October.

A spokesman for Leopallooza said: “We’re so excited to welcome Seasick Steve to Leopallooza for our tenth event. His feelgood brand of music is a really natural fit for the festival, and he’s someone we’ve wanted on the billing for several years.

“When we got word that Steve wanted to come and play at the festival, in the most part because of the good feedback he’d heard about it, you can imagine we were pretty happy about that.”

Seasick Steve made his first UK TV appearance on Jools Holland’s Hootennany on New Year’s Eve in 2006. After this performance, his popularity exploded in Britain.

With his new album currently in production, Steve will be performing with his band at Leopallooza on the Friday night.

Leopallooza, dubbed the greatest house party in a field, will host seven stages featuring some of the best new bands and DJs in the UK and beyond.

Alongside Seasick Steve will be Band of Skulls, Crystal Fighters, Kodaline and Public Service Broadcoasting among many others.

As well as music, there is much more to keep festival-goers entertained all weekend.
