A NUMBER of search warrants have been conducted in Launceston by local police recently, under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

On Wednesday, January 4, a series of search warrants were carried out by officers in Launceston under the Misuse of Drugs Act, in response to information provided to police by members of the public.

Launceston Police Sector have said that they ‘will always look to act positively on good quality information’.

A spokesperson for Launceston Police said: “Launceston Police are committed to dealing proactively with drug offences. Drugs have a huge impact on our community and affect all our lives young and old, we need your help to deal with it.”
