TREGFEST is the school’s annual musical event, which champions the musical talents of the children at Tregadillett Primary.
Despite the bad weather, the event went ahead and was a great success.
This year the school invited the Indigenous People, a group of African drummers, along to the school for a series of drumming workshops and traditional African dance.
All the year groups put on their own special musical performances, and there were stalls, face painting, a barbecue and bouncy castle.
Headteacher Stuart Tulloch said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for the children of Tregadillett Primary to celebrate diversity and culture within our community.
“Each year the event goes from strength to strength. The support from local musical performers, who work with our children, is second to none. Every enjoyed a sing-a-long with the school’s resident junior children’s rock band, Paradise.”
The school’s Parent Teacher and Friends Association raised in excess of £500, which will go towards supporting the school’s new reading scheme which is to be introduced in September.
