COADS Green Primary School held a #HelloYellow day to support World Mental Health Day on Thursday, October 10.

The children all wore something yellow and this certainly brightened up the day! The staff organised a ‘photo booth’ and all the children were able to have their photos taken for a small donation.

The school raised £50 for YoungMinds, which is a charity that supports young people’s mental health.

MARHAMCHURCH C of E VC Primary School took part in World Mental Health Awareness Day last Thursday and raised £118 for charity, Young Minds.

The day was organised by teacher Clare Hockin, together with a working party of pupils.

A school spokesperson said: “All of the pupils of the school were invited to come in wearing yellow or bright colours and bring in a donation of £1, and we raised £118 for Young Minds.

“We held an assembly in the afternoon and Mrs Hockin talked about mental health and how you can help someone if they’re having a bad day.”
