SOME Torridge schools that took part in an annual art exhibition have been awarded £100.
The schools that took part in the exhibition at Burton Art Gallery and Museum, Bideford, which ran until March 16, included Holsworthy C of E Primary School, Woolsery Primary School and Shebbear College.
As in previous years, North Devon Decorative and Fine Arts Society (NDDFAS), the North Devon branch of National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS), awarded prizes to the schools selected by the judges, Geraldine Cook and Jane Whittaker, as having produced the most creative and original ideas, using inventive and experimental media as well as demonstrating a high level of skill.
The winners included Holsworthy Primary and Shebbear College.
Each winning school received £100 from the North Devon branch of NADFAS.
