STRATTON Primary School was recently chosen as a benefactor of the Holsworthy branch’s Waitrose Community Matters token scheme.
The staff and school council at Stratton Primary School said they are ‘thrilled’ to have been chosen as one of the fundraising groups to benefit from the Waitrose Community Matters token scheme.
The school council is looking to raise enough money to buy the school a ‘buddy’ bench for the playground. If a child feels lonely during playtime, the ‘buddy’ bench will be available for them. Children will keep a look out and if they see someone on the bench, they will either encourage them to join in with their game or keep them company.
Children and staff think the ‘buddy’ bench would be very beneficial for the school and are excited at the prospect of having it in place later in the school term.
