A SCHOOL for children with special educational needs in Whitstone has been announced as a finalist for not one but two prestigious national awards.

Highgate Hill House School, an independent, co-educational school for children aged five to 16, has been announced as a finalist in two categories for the Education Investor Awards.

The awards recognise organisations and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to education, with a view to promoting excellence and recognising innovation in the private education sector.

A spokesperson for the school said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for these prestigious national awards, the school as a whole team have worked extremely hard to reach this point. We eagerly await the awards ceremony and are keeping everything crossed.”

The awards ceremony will be held on October 3 at Hilton Park Lane, London.
