Jacob Greenway (10) from Tonyrefail, Mid Glamorgan, was the special guest at Sainsbury's Tenby store last week as he received a cheque for £1641 from staff members on behalf of the Harriet Davis Trust.

Jacob was staying at Harriet's House, the trust's Tenby harbour property, for the week with his mum, Jannine and his grandparents, Maureen and Edwin Greenway.

"Jacob has had an exciting week and especially enjoyed visiting the lifeboat station and Folly Farm," said Jannine. "We wouldn't be able to have a holiday like this without the generosity of local people in maintaining the trust's properties."

The Harriet Davis Trust was chosen as Local Charity Partner for 2014-15 by the Tenby store and the cheque is the result of staff fund-raising over the past year which included a sponsored walk, in-store raffles, and a quiz night.

Sainsbury's PR ambassador Lorraine Jones said: "The Harriet Davis Trust is such a special Pembrokeshire charity and it has been a real privilege to meet Jacob and his mum today."

Elizabeth Sleight, the trust's development manager, said: "We have had brilliant support over the past year from all Sainsbury's staff to help us refurbish Harriet's House, we are so grateful for their help."
