DELABOLE fire station officer, Mark Saltern, is urging people to be careful with electrical appliances, after a couple escaped from a caravan seconds before it was devastated by fire.
One major appliance, with a crew of six, from Delabole and two crews from Wadebridge, were called to the caravan fire at Lanarth Hotel and Caravan Park, at around 3am on Saturday.
The park is located along St Kew Highway, seven miles from Camelford.
According to witnesses, the couple from Wolverhampton who were too upset to talk about the incident, escaped from their motor-home seconds before the fire destroyed the van.
