A new liaison committee is being set up by residents of Kings Caple and Marden-based firm S&A Group after residents raised concerns about a new asparagus operation.

Work started about one month ago, planting 140 acres of asparagus in fields on the south side of the village.

Local residents who live in this sensitive part of the Wye Valley AONB, have already seen significant polytunnel development in neighbouring sites and a meeting was organised by Kings Caple Parish Council.The meeting between residents and representatives of the S&A Group took place in Kings Caple on Friday, April 24th.
