Two days of glorious weather and a course in tip-top condition provided the perfect setting for Launceston Golf Club's Chamber of Trade and Gibson Cup Club Championship played over 36 holes on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31.

The Chamber of Trade competition was for the best nett scores over the two days and the Gibson Cup was for the best gross scores over the same period to decide who would be the club champion for 2009.

Saturday's results: Div One nett scores — 1st, D Allan 64; 2nd, P Hicks 68; 3rd, R O'Neill 71.

Div Two — 1st, M Briggs 65; 2nd, R Johnson 67; 3rd, M Luxton 69.

Div Three — 1st, P Walters 77.

Sunday's results: Div One — 1st, T Pahlsson 68; 2nd, R Acres 69; 3rd, P K Fletcher 70.

Div Two — 1st, M Luxton 68 (on countback); 2nd, S Mander 68 (ditto); 3rd A Squire 68.

Div Three — 1st, J Jamison 68; 2nd T Keat 69; 3rd, I Huggins 70.

Overall Winner of the Chamber of Trade — 1st, Matt Luxton 69+68 = 137; 2nd, Paul Hicks 68+71 = 139 (on countback); 3rd, Dave Allen 64+75 = 139.

Gibson Cup and Club Championship — 1st, Ryan Acres 75+72 = 147; 2nd, Ben Wevill 76+74 = 150; 3rd, Rob O'Neill 75+78 = 153.
