THE parish cup was presented by Martin Stanbury to Ruth Allin at a recent coffee morning at Boyton Chapel.

The cup is presented each year to the person the parish council feel has contributed most to the parish during the year. Ruth’s work at the chapel is unceasing, playing the organ every week at the chapel and for weddings, christenings and funerals.

The cup also recognised her work to raise funds for missionary work, in particular Christian Aid, and her time regularly helping with coffee mornings and seasonal community lunches, plus her unstinting pastoral care work, visiting and delivering floral tributes or gifts on special occasions such as birthdays.
