THE Holsworthy Ruby Run committee has presented cheque of over £2,000 to Cancer Research.

John Allen and Gary Bush from the Ruby Run committee along with last year's sponsor Carol Barkwell from Made-Well, a community interest company based in Hatherleigh, presented Chris Babb from Cancer Research UK with a cheque for £2,072.

The money was raised at the tenth annual Ruby Run which started in Holsworthy and ended in Hatherleigh. The event attracts athletes from all over the South-West and each year it nominates a charity to receive a donation.
