TWO villages in Devon and Cornwall are gearing up to welcome royal visitors this week.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will first be visiting Lifton today (Thursday), where they will attend an open day festival celebrating the centenary of Ambrosia Creamery.

The festival will be held for staff, their families, local dairy farmers and Lifton residents.

Tomorrow (Friday), the Duke and Duchess will attend a service at St Protus and St Hyacinth Church, Blisland, with local parishioners. They will also visit the village ‘hub’, which functions as a shop, post office and tea room.
