THE Duke and Duchess of Cornwall embarked on a number of engagements in Devon and Cornwall this week, including a visit to Boscastle.

On Monday the couple first visited Mevagissey to learn about its resurgence following recent flooding. They also met with a number of local community groups and businesses.

Prince Charles then made his way to Boscastle where he viewed a hedging demonstration as part of the Kerdroya project to construct a Cornish-hedged landscape labyrinth.

He then went to Boscastle harbour and the National Trust Visitor Centre to meet with AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) staff and guests.

Prince Charles also had the opportunity to hear from those who were affected by flooding in the area 15 years ago.

Before departing, he unveiled a new commemorative AONB way marker.

While the Duke was in Boscastle, the Duchess of Cornwall attended the tenth anniversary celebration of The Big Lunch at the Eden Project.

On Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess attended a garden party to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ginsters bakery in Callington, before visiting Tavistock to celebrate the town’s recent restoration of its historic buildings.
