THE mini and junior section of the Launceston Rugby Club applied to the Rotary Community Shop for financial help for the youngsters to purchase kit such as new tackle bags, safety barriers, scrum training equipment and rugby balls to enable them to continue their successful progress.

The ‘Shop Fund’ was able to meet this request with a cheque for £1,000, which past president of the Rugby Club and rotarian Barrie Boundy presented to the youngsters’ coach Peter Sandercock together with his chairman Andy Crichton.

Mr Sandercock was delighted with the help and knew his youngsters would appreciate it.
