At a recent assembly, pupils at Whitstone Community Primary School welcomed members of the Holsworthy Rotary Club who told the children about the humanitarian work of ShelterBox. ShelterBox provides emergency aid for the victims of natural and other disasters anywhere in the world. The children were shown what a ShelterBox contained, how it is used to help relieve the suffering of people who are displaced by natural and man-made calamities and told how much a box and its contents cost. The school will be devoting the major part of its future charity fund-raising efforts to raising enough money to provide a ShelterBox and support the work of this Cornwall-based charity.
