MEMBERS of the Rotary Club of Camelford were delighted to donate a new picnic table to Tintagel Primary School on November 1.

The headmistress, Mrs Sue Cox, said ‘it was greatly appreciated and it would get plenty of use all year round’.

With the school buildings being so exposed to the coastal weather, much of the outdoor furniture takes a beating from the weather too and as a result they no longer have any outdoor picnic tables which are safe for the children to use.

The Rotary Club has had a sturdy picnic table made to enable eight to 12 children to sit, work and enjoy outdoor lessons, breaks and lunchtimes.

The table is situated in the grounds to the rear of the school and is perfectly placed to facilitate easy access and continuous use. The pupils were clearly thrilled with their new table.
