LAUNCESTON Day Centre has recently received a generous donation of £500 from Launceston Community Shop, providing funds for some new garden furniture for the centre.
The Launceston Day Centre has been in existence for over 20 years, providing help, comfort, friendship and somewhere to go for many local people living with a variety of learning difficulties.
Officer in charge Samantha Lindsay and her helpers support approximately 20 people within the current membership, and their premises reside on the Newport Industrial Estate.
With the £500 donation, the centre will be able to purchase some garden furniture to take advantage of the occasional good weather, and the Rotary Community Shop was glad to help.
