MEMBERS of Launceston Rotary Club set off for a 2,000-mile journey to Kosova earlier this week, to continue the club's international aid. For the last 15 years members of the Rotary Club have provided aid to communities in need by supplying fire engines, ambulances, medical equipment and computers for schools. They have driven thousands of miles to help communities in Belarus, Croatia, Kosova and Albania. Early on Tuesday Rotarians Leighton Penhale and Barrie Boundy set off for the 2,000-mile journey to Kosova with a Renault Master ambulance generously donated by the South West Ambulance Service Trust, together with a second ambulance — a Toyota Landcruiser — crewed by Rotarian colleagues from the Rotary Club of Lostwithiel.
