Robin gives up time and money each year to raise funds and promote the work of Cornwall Hospice Care, and has walked nearly 50,000km for charity in the last 20 years.
Starting on August 21, his pilgrimage across Cornwall will include circumnavigating the Roseland section to Devoran in coalition with the Flushing Gig-Rowing Club. From Devoran, cyclists and equestrians are invited to join the pilgrimage to finish at the Coppice Inn, Lanner.
The full end-to-end version of his 160 mile pilgrimage walk runs from Morwenstow, to St Michael’s Mount. This will include a 10 mile section, known as the Gwennap Pilgrimage, which makes up a circular walk. It will take in Bude and Launceston, follow old railway lines, ancient tracks across Bodmin Moor and part of the North coast to Padstow.
