REPAIRS to the road surface at Westgate Street, Launceston have been welcomed by one of the town's county council members — but he says more locations in the town still need attention.

Cornwall Councillor for Launceston Central Alex Folkes had previously met with a local highways engineer to point out the poor road surface at the junction which is located outside the Westgate Inn. This patch of tarmac included a pothole that at one point was over five feet long.
