FURTHER concerns have been expressed that residents living south of Penn Inn, Newton Abbot, could find themselves stranded when a 12-week road block comes into force next week.

Engineers building the £110 million South Devon Link Road have said closing the junction of Aller Brake Road and the A380 is required from 9pm next Sunday in order for work on the new Aller Link Road to take place.

But it has emerged that no account has been taken of the impact on Penn Inn where traffic light timings are due to remain unaltered.

That has worried residents who have contacted the county member for Newton Abbot South, Cllr Gordon Hook.
