Bude's RNLI Lifeguards are back on the beaches and are ready for the first school holiday of the season — Whitsun Half Term.

As Bude gets busy for the summer the lifeguards will be on our favourite beaches to ensure that all visitors have a safe and enjoyable visit.

RNLI Lifeguards are now patrolling Black Rock, Widemouth, Summerleaze, Crooklets and Sandymouth from 10am to 6pm every day right through to September 20 (Widemouth and Summerleaze until September 30).

To ensure that all visitors enjoy their day at the beach a few simple rules are put in place by the lifeguards, namely, swim or bodyboard between the red and yellow flags, follow lifeguard instructions and remember that a red flag indicates that it is not safe to enter the sea.

Hoping for a sunny

season this year people are also reminded to remember their sun sense and slip on a t-shirt, slap on a hat and slop on some

sunscreen.
