FRIDAY and Saturday, February 22 and 23 saw the return of the occasional ‘book and vinyl sale’ at St Michael’s Church, Bude Haven.
The event was organised by Mr David Williams, who runs the well-known ‘wheelbarrow book stall’ on the cliff path at Upton. Featuring over 3,000 books, the St Michael’s sale was a great success, with a good number of both locals and visitors coming in to browse and buy from the selection.
Along with a raffle and refreshments, including the superb homemade cakes that St Michael’s has a reputation for, the book sale made a shade over £500 for church funds — a total Mr Williams and his team were very pleased with.
The sale was an enjoyable and productive fundraising event.
