"ST TEATH Carnival week was another great success for the village," said outgoing carnival committee chairman Nicky Halford.

Her exact words were: "Wow, Thank you everybody I have retired with a blast!"

The good weather meant that all the planned events could go ahead as normal. The children's afternoon with Punch and Judy and lashings of ice cream; the village quiz which seriously challenged the knowledge and brain power of those present and a highly successful 'it's a knockout event' where lots of people did silly things and got very wet.

Everything culminated in the traditional procession through the village and into the village square. Although the number of entries was slightly down on last year, the atmosphere was still wonderful and relaxed with the large crowd appreciative of all the effort that had been made.
