THE Queens Hotel in Newton Abbot is expected to be turned into flats and shops.

The landmark building – which is understood to have been sold to a developer in Kent for £500,000 – is to have retail units on the ground floor and residential accommodation on the upper floors.

Retail units are already being offered for rent.
