ST BREWARD Carnival recently organised its annual safari supper around the village to great success and acclaim, raising £901 profit towards carnival funds — a 'truly amazing' result, according to Veronica Stansfield from the carnival committee.

A safari supper, is, to many people, a very strange affair. First, you are asked to donate some food for the evening, then you have to buy a ticket to go on the safari.

You are then expected to eat and drink all evening, buy raffle tickets and, finally, at the end of the evening, are encouraged to purchase anything that has not been used.
