A GRAYSHOTT restaurant is set to host a fundraising collection for victims of the Nepal earthquake disaster on its stall at next weekend's villlage market day.

The Gurkha Durbar is owned by Mani Rai and his wife Sudha, both of Nepalese descent. Mani had considerable disaster management experience when serving with the Gurkhas coordinating the disaster in Haiti, in 2010.

In his experience, providing money was simply the best way to show support, providing relief organisations the flexibility to source what was most required such as temporary buildings, medicines and specialist machinery.
