Local chef Kit Davis, of The Castle Restaurant, Bude, has been awarded a coveted AA Rosette. This prestigious award is given to excellent restaurants that stand out in their local area, where the food is prepared with care, understanding and skill, using

good-quality ingredients. The restaurant has only been open for 18 months and Kit said he was

overwhelmed at receiving this prize: "I never expected to get a rosette so quickly. It has been a real team effort with all the staff working incredibly hard to keep our standards consistently high and it is fantastic to receive recognition for this. We can't wait for the inspectors to visit us again as we really want to get more!" Kit was notified that he had won the award on Friday April 3, following an
