NORTH Petherwin's Jubilee celebrations got off to a flying start last weekend.

People living on Clubworthy Road had a family fun afternoon on Saturday, by kind invitation of Stewart and Candy Isles. Children's sack, egg and spoon, and three legged races were entered into with gusto. The mums and dads and grannys and grandads joined in as well. There was a tug-of-war, bowling for a pig and a boat race. The weather was dry and picnics shared, and a good time was had by all.
