GOOD Energy, the renewable energy developer and energy supplier which runs Delabole Wind Farm, held its second public consultation for a contentious mixed renewable energy farm near Week St Mary, on Wednesday, September 4, where around 200 people attended.
Good Energy are proposing 11 400ft wind turbines, and a secondary project for 80 acres of solar panels, with an expected combined output of 47MW, enough energy to power 19,600 homes.
However, when local residents learnt a media briefing was to take place two hours before the consultation opened to the public, tensions rose and a large gathering forced Good Energy to open the consultation early.
