MEMBERS of Clawton and Lewdown Young Farmers’ Clubs (YFC) joined together to show their club sheep as part of the Devon YFC Show and Sale at Exeter Market on April 25.

With each member starting with four ewes each back in August 2017, they were shown with their lambs and judged by Mr Adrian Rich.

The clubs expressed hanks to Harpers Farm Supplies for their sponsorship, allowing the top three to also take away some great prizes.

The top places went to Clawton YFC members: 1st Jenny Tratt, 2nd Iain Ley, 3rd Bethany Wonnacott.

The success of this continued with Jenny making her way to ‘Champions Row’ to compete against the champions of all 11 clubs there on the day — Jenny was placed reserve champion.

This was a great achievement for Jenny and the club as this was the first time the club had shown at such a high level.

A spokesperson added: “We look forward to showing again in the 2019 Show and Sale!”
