HOLSWORTHY Memorial Hall was the subject of a debate at the town's recent council meeting as concerns regarding increased hall charges were discussed.
Around ten members of the public, including representatives of the hall; luncheon club and day centre, attended the meeting to hear of the reality — what seems to have a chain reaction of problems — that the Holsworthy Day Centre and Holsworthy Luncheon Club cannot afford to pay the increased rates that the Memorial Hall has recently updated.
As a result of this, they could be in danger of closing and if the hall cannot increase its income, this also, could become under threat.
