He may be 'Born in the USA' but the small village of Reynalton was the venue for a unique 'living room' gig performed by a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band last weekend.

American singer-songwriter Jake Clemons who took over the role of saxophonist for Springsteen's backing band when his uncle, Clarence Clemons, a founding member, passed away in 2011, visited the village as part of his 'In Your Living Room' tour of the UK and Ireland.

With the stipulation that the host needed to have a house or loft space that can comfortably and safely host 40-70 people, Jake invited fans through his website to apply for this one of a kind musical experience.

Isabel Merriman, a retired teacher from Saundersfoot School, who has seen Springsteen perform all over the world couldn't believe it when she was presented with the chance to have Jake perform a set at her home in Reynalton, where she invited family, friends and other fans from around the UK to share the occasion

"I first saw Jake with the E Street Band when I travelled to Milan in 2012 for a show, and we were thrilled to see that he fitted in so well," said Isabel, who first saw Springsteen perform live back in 1981 and has since seen him play around 45 shows on different tours around the world, including one in New Jersey in 2012, which was a retirement present from her sister Iona and Mark her brother-in-law.

"I'm still coming down to earth. To have Jake Clemons perform such an intimate and special gig in my home, for family and friends, has been beyond my wildest dreams and such a huge privilege," she added.

Aside from performing with Springsteen on the Wrecking Ball Tour and High Hopes Tour, Jake known for being a jack of all trades when it comes to musicianship, as he can play guitar, drums, saxophone, as well as writing all of his own music, has also shared the stage with the likes of Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder.
