PUPILS and staff at Lakers School turned the clock back 30 years to mark a special anniversary.
The school at Five Acres opened in 1985 and so there was more than a hint of eighties nostalgia around when the school celebrated.
In the morning students took part in a whole school 80s quiz - learning about music, popular culture and politics of the decade.
That was followed by a fun afternoon with competitions, stalls, inflatables and games.
There was also music from the time and 80s-themed food while staff and students dressed in 80s costumes and prizes were awarded for the best.
There were fond farewells to retiring staff, who, between them, had dedicated more than 100 years to Lakers.
The school is also asking former students to share memories and photos through its Facebook page to create a 'living museum'.
Former students can also take a tour to see how the school has changed during an open evening in September.
