A slow opening 20 minutes from Bradworthy was enough to gift Combe Martin all three points in an entertaining game at Holland Park.
Combe went in front early on after they found space on the left wing to fire in a cross for an onrushing midfielder to power home. Things soon got worse for Brad' after another ball into the box was again unchallenged, this time Reid Ecclestone's header cannoned back off the crossbar as he turned his rebound goalwards Lee Chapple was on hand to smash in from point blank range.
Bradworthy slowly started to shake themselves into life; Luke Potter, who was easily Brad's best player on the day, finished off a slick counter attack, cutting inside his man on the corner of the box and blasting his left footed drive past the home 'keeper. Brad were beginning to match their opponents but again were exposed as Joe Seldon beat his man to a corner and headed in Combe's third.
Bradworthy went on the offensive in the second half as they looked to reduce the deficit but a moment of brilliance moved Combe into a three goal lead. Damian French was harshly considered to have fouled his man who quickly grabbed the ball and beat 'keeper Will Radford with a curling effort from 25 yards from the quickly taken free kick.
Brad' responded positively and Combe 'keeper Danny Turton was lucky to remain on the pitch as he rushed out of his box and handled as the ball skidded past him. Turton was as surprised as anybody that he was only shown a yellow card for his misdemeanour having already removed his gloves as he prepared to depart. Justice was done from the resulting free kick as Gary Clarke's shot was deflected into the path of Andy Cotton who drilled the ball into the far corner from a tight angle.
Another deflected Clarke free kick almost found the net but the ball rebounded off the bar to safety. Luke Potter volleyed narrowly over and had a stinging shot parried away as Brad asserted some pressure as the game wore on. Eventually Potter got the second goal he deserved, smashing in at the far post in the dying stages but it was too little too late for Brad who slipped to another away defeat.
