PEOPLE in and around Launceston are being invited to find out more about plans for a new primary school at the Launceston Community Network Panel annual general meeting tonight (Thursday) in Launceston Town Hall.

Representatives from Cornwall Council’s Education and Planning teams and Launceston College will facilitate the discussion about the new primary school serving the Hay Common development.

Donna Latham from Cornwall Council’s Waste and Environmental team will be on hand to provide a briefing about the expansion of the household recycling scheme in North Cornwall to include plastic pots, tubs and trays.

In addition to this there will be an update on the proposed medical centre extension.

As this is the annual general meeting, the panel will elect a chair for the next 12 months and agree priorities for the area for the coming year. There will also be time for public questions and a chance to meet local Cornwall, town and parish councillors.

The meeting is held from 7pm to 9pm in the Guildhall. There will be time for public questions.
